The 12.1 RAID meta is starting to take shape and some of these DPS rankings are NOT what we expected!
We are now into Week 3 of Midnight Season 2 and Mythic progression through The Venomous Abyss is finally giving us enough data to see which DPS specs are actually performing and which ones are struggling. This isn't just about simulations or predictions anymore: we are looking at real Raid performance, current Mythic progression and how each spec performs across different boss encounters.

Our 12.1 DPS Tier List has some big surprises already. Demonology Warlock and Arcane Mage are looking incredibly strong, Assassination and Subtlety Rogue are fighting near the top, while Elemental Shaman, Windwalker Monk and Marksmanship Hunter are putting up some impressive Raid performances of their own.
On the other side, specs like Survival Hunter, Feral Druid, Frost Death Knight and Unholy Death Knight are having a much harder time across the current Raid DPS rankings, although individual bosses can tell a very different story.
That is especially important in The Venomous Abyss, where different encounters heavily favor single target, stacked cleave or spread cleave. A spec that looks average across the entire Raid can suddenly become one of the best DPS choices for a specific Mythic progression boss. Current raid ranking resources likewise emphasize that encounter damage profiles and raid utility can materially change a spec's value.
This is our Week 3 snapshot of the 12.1 Raid meta, so expect these rankings to continue evolving as more guilds progress through Mythic, more logs become available and Blizzard continues class tuning throughout Midnight Season 2.
