I've been playing Warcraft for over 20 years.
From discovering Warcraft II on an old Windows PC, to experiencing the rise and fall of Arthas in Warcraft III, stepping into Mulgore for the first time in Vanilla WoW, charging through the Dark Portal into Outland, watching Varian's final stand in Legion, and standing before Dimensius in Midnight... Warcraft has been a constant part of my life for longer than I care to admit.
This isn't a tier list. It's not a guide. It's not even really about the current WoW meta. This is a story about what 20 years of World of Warcraft taught me.

For many of us, World of Warcraft was never just a game. It was a place to explore when life got difficult. A place to make friends. A place to experience incredible stories and unforgettable moments. Whether it was seeing Winterspring for the first time, walking through the Dark Portal, defending Light's Hope Chapel, diving into Vashj'ir, witnessing Varian's death, hearing Sylvanas cry out "For the Horde!", or taking part in some of the biggest moments of modern Warcraft storytelling, these experiences stayed with us long after we logged out.
And while WoW has changed dramatically over the years, one thing has remained surprisingly consistent: the people.
Players complain. Players argue. Players get frustrated. Players wipe keys they should never wipe. But players also help each other, create memories together, and build communities that sometimes last decades. In many ways, World of Warcraft is a mirror of the real world. The game changes, expansions come and go, but people remain people.
This video is part nostalgia trip, part Warcraft retrospective, part video essay and part personal story. It's about growing up with Warcraft, dealing with loss, finding friendships through games, and understanding why, after all these years, I still keep coming back.
Because after 20 years of WoW, I have to admit something:
The game has frustrated me countless times.
The game has disappointed me countless times.
But somehow, it can still make me feel like that kid discovering Warcraft for the very first time.
