Current and next-generation data communication networks will use PAM4, forward error correction (FEC), and equalizing receiver to achieve increased bandwidth. Keysight's Senior Manager of Product Management Charles Seifert demos a compliance test solution created to integrate FEC constraints into physical design validation for 800GBASE devices and components. The M8040A BERT, in combination with the G800GE BERT and FEC error correction performance analyzer, allow for FEC margin insights as well as frame loss measurement and error burst analysis.
