David Pitre from West Monroe, Louisiana gives us a look at his fully redone 2002 Peterbilt, built by Michael Trahan in Louisiana and set up with a 105-inch Double Eagle sleeper, 6NZ Caterpillar engine, 18-speed transmission, 3.36 gears, and a 323-inch wheelbase.
The truck was recently put back on the road at MATS and has already logged around 25,000 miles. Inside, the interior was finished by Randy at Spare Time with Rockwood floor, dash, and panels, giving the cab a clean and spacious look. The Double Eagle sleeper was completely redone by ATG in LaGrange, Indiana and includes a full shower, bathroom, toilet, microwave/convection oven, sink, and more.
David hauls enclosed car trailers and is leased to Intercity Lines out of Massachusetts. With decades behind the wheel, he also shares what he loves about trucking, what has changed, and why respect for the industry still matters.
