This is my guide for getting 1000hz polling for your HORI Taiko no Tatsujin Drum Controller.
Compatible with PC and Nintendo Switch.

(Only PC benefits as the Nintendo Switch is capped to 250hz polling but keeps functionality).

This is done by replacing the stock internal board with a Raspberry Pi Pico. This video guide shows how I did it.

Tools needed:
Raspberry Pi Pico (with Pre-soldered Headers),
Long braided Micro USB to USB A cable,
Screwdriver (J1 for Drum, J0 for stock internal board),
Jumper wires (Male to Female),
Hobby Knife,
Hot Glue,
Double sided tape.

Access 'Web Configurator' by plugging in your controller while holding down Start/Plus. Then in a web browser, go to this address. http://192.168.7.1/

Optional:
You can use 'Keyboard Inspector' to test polling rate for keyboards/gamepads/etc to confirm 1000hz polling.
