1 A Stitch in Time
About those things we don’t remember,
About those things we forgot,
About the way things really were,
And the way things were really not.
It is a textile held together,
By nature’s secret whim;
With golden lace linked together,
With patchwork at the rim.
It cost nothing if you buy it,
Because it always goes away,
It comes in measured segments,
Like a year; a month; a day.
Like the soaring of an osprey,
Or the dashing desert fox,
It settles into spaces,
Reserved by you for thought.
And transcending mighty mountains,
Then sweeping high and low,
It forces you to travel,
Where only the brave can go.
And finally when you get there,
You hear a rhythmic chime,
And see that textile bonded up,
By another stitch in time.
I have a 101 Poetry Prompt book that I'm filling in as I drink my coffee in the morning. I will probably finish the Prompt book, but this video is a test to see if anyone wants to follow along. And I promise, no AI voices this time.
