Reason decided a few years/versions ago to make the Reason Rack into a VST3 (and finish ReWire). This has been a good move which in many ways is in keeping with where Reason started. The RRP lets people who like Reason's devices but prefer another DAW to use Reason yumminess anywhere. It is not quite the same as you lose some of the workflow (and options) but overall, it's pretty cool.
