The modern DAW makes handling notes and automation pretty easy. There is a downside to this though as most have not learned how the core of MIDI works so they overdo Mixing (VST etc) when good MIDI would make the results better (and faster). I also answer a Q about why a MIDI File seemed to be misbehaving.
