Friends Scheme
Show me the colors we make
with the way our shadows overlap
We crinkle the mirror and decipher
what is story and what is fact
I've never enjoyed falling
unless you can promise what is next
I've missed the point entirely
because in truth
nobody has your net
Nightfall a weighted blanket
we admit the changes too hard to bear
Alone and high up from a stone wall
we gather enough courage for a mutual dare
Let the tower fall.
and finally
rest your feet
it is not about the net
it is all about the leap
