Haven't done a process vid since obedient servant, and since I'm pretty pleased with this part I thought I might throw one together.
It's not perfect, of course, the expression is kinda weird on crowfeather's part and the camera pan could look a little better, but I've spent a lot of time on this and I'm happy with it.
The sketch wip I did on an app called filmingo because although it's terrible quality, it's a lot quicker to use, and I was just making it to throw it in the discord. Figured I should include it in here so y'all know what the original idea was, but that's why the quality is so bad for that one.

Children of the Sky | Sketch Animation

I hardly ever draw humans/humanoids, much less animate them; or furries for that matter, so this was quite the learning curve (and one of the reasons it's so messy)
Was certainly nice to animate something other than cats for a change :]

The winged tiefling is a character called Metel, belonging to Vos' cousin

And yes I do plan on finishing my maps such as Brother and Masochist. It will happen. One day.

Granted its shorter than the kind of animatic my younger self would've wanted me to make, but I think using the chapter art was a genius idea, if I do say so myself... (I hope you're not feeling cheated. It did take me a week to draw the new frames in this ;w;)
Thank you guys for supporting this story I started writing when I was 15 and for some reason actually finished it. (That reason was you.)

The music in this video is by a wonderfully talented chap called Keaton Henson, and this happens to be one of my favourite songs.
I'm aware the lyrics are a bit different if you search them up on google, but this is another version of the lyircs I found; "reaper" instead of "rebirth", "noose babe" instead of "new spade" (which, seriously, makes no sense at all). I've no clue which lyrics are correct, different sources say different things, I just prefer this version.

In terms of a general update, yes my upload schedule died once again, but I do have more animations to make so hopefully I'll be posting more soon :]

This part is a lot better than my other one for this map lol but nvm. I quite enjoyed making it and it was fun getting creative with the last two shots. I was trying to imply who Bramble really was beneath the surface; something only Squirrelflight can see. Also the last shot is to signify the power he now has over her.
This is very subtle but I also tried to make Firestar's expression like he's a little unsure of his decision (as in this au Bramble is evil), but idk if you can really tell lol

- “Home is not where you live”; Fallen Leaves refers to the caves. Even though he has been there for years, he still doesn’t feel like it’s home
- Hollyleaf is referring to her recent feelings about Thunderclan and family

Sorry the vid is a day late I was just finishing it up :)
I love the designs and aesthetic of this map, it's so epic to be a part of it.
I've had this part for a long time as I've been busy and only had so many chances to go back to it, and over the last 3 days I finished all the backgrounds, colouring and shading, and now it's here!

I really tried to go for adding lots of small details in the acting with this one, I hope you enjoy; ik there are mistakes but I think I had a good go at this.
It's now my new headcanon that Fallen Leaves has a really fidgety tail and he chases it a lot when he gets bored in the caves.

I just read the new book and this idea appeared in my brain so I made it.

Also just gonna share a bit here - I really love light in the mist and it brought the series back from it's slump for me. Ofc there were many flaws but Bristlefrost's courage/determination, and then ultimately her death, was the best thing about this book. The brief but hopeful ending was a perfect way to round off an overall great series - but still with problems to be fixed in the next series.

This part is real fun to work on so far, I can't wait to finish it - I'm gonna focus on gore and the use of shading to make this creepy, as it is a halloween map and I love the spooky season (hopefully I'll be posting more halloween stuff on yt)

Dear Wormwood | WIP (Part 4)

It may look almost done but I'll most likely be changing it a lot; as you can tell it's already quite different from the initial sketch at the end of the video. But mostly it's just shading and backgrounds that still need doing
Also I'm now gonna be doing 1 or 2 (but probably usually 1) wip every 2 weeks now, finally, an actual schedule! If I'm struggling to get a wip out then I'd replace it with a speedpaint. That being said, tell me what kinda things you'd like to see a speedpaint of in the comments

Problems Ivypool MAP Part 6

Xenomane 2021-07-07 | Part 6 for the Problems map! I ended up picking this up after the person who originally had it dropped, and I had a lot of fun with detail and expressions tbh. The backgrounds aren't anything I'm particularly proud of, but I did try a bit harder for the backgrounds during the Ivypool and Antpelt fight scene.

Xenomane 2021-07-06 | Hey there! This is my first map, and after 9 months - can't believe it's been that long - we've finished it. (And yes I do look back at the designs now and wish I'd put more effort into them at the time haha)

Blurb:
This map focuses on Ivypool and Dovewing's relationship during Omen of the Stars. Ivypaw, jealous of her sister Dovepaw's incredible skills and all the praise she gets, begins to visit the dark forest to train to become a better warrior. However, both sisters soon realise the weight of their secrets; Dovewing has a special power with which she is prophesized to save the clans, and Ivypool realises the true nature and intentions of the dark forest cats. The two sisters decide to push all of that aside, to spend some time together and live as normal cats for a while.

Awesome map idea focusing on Squirrelflight and Bramblestar's relationship, and there's still a couple of parts open if you're interested!

Yes because I managed to make this in two days somehow, and I can't be bothered to make any kind of schedule to stick to right now :))

Opinions on Squilf; I used to strongly dislike her in the new prophecy, though I always appreciated her and Leafpool's close relationship as sisters, and how it compares with other sibling relationships. I liked her a lot more in power of three; one of the main scenes that stood out to me is after the battle in Eclipse, when she tried to hide her very deep wound that actually almost killed her so that other warriors could be treated first. That alone just made me appreciate her a whole lot more, that and going through what she did to keep Leafpool's secret safe, and what she's like in Squirrelflight's hope and TBC. Her character development has been awesome which makes her probably my second favourite she-cat (my first being Ivypool, of course)

First time trying to make the camera pan around a character, which took a few attempts but got there eventually.

Script; Fireheart leads Bluestar to the gorge and grins, his design going from 2 to 3 and Bluestar looks worried

So the goal for this one was to see how quickly I can make a map part and this one took 2 weeks, I'm pretty proud of that. It's about 5 fps in the first shot and about 4 fps in the next shot.

Also can someone please tell me why the black appears on a couple of bluestar's frames? if it helps, I used FireAlpaca to create the whole part, but Bluestar's bit was the only part I saved as a gif. Can anyone tell me why the black appears? I feel like it has something to do with saving it as a gif and if that's the case, when I make the finished part i'll save each of bluestar's frames individually
