Today something a little different for a change. So many of you ask me to talk more about artificial gravity systems. Up until now with the cost of mass to orbit being so high, it always seemed like something that was incredibly far down the track. With Starship soon being able to shoot massive components to orbit at super low cost, this kind of changes the game at that point. Ideas that seemed absurd, almost look to become plausible if you can send stuff to orbit orders of magnitude cheaper than we can right now. But why do this? And is it really as critical as others make it out to be? You might be surprised.

Today Iβve got a quite diverse range of topics. SpaceX's Double Starship Action in Texas seeing colossal ships in movement, but so much more. The mind-bending JWST Pillars of Creation image. We have Starlink Airplane Support along with another amazing launch enabling even more flexible connections to the internet than ever. ESA is selecting a new launch provider for the Euclid Telescope, and ULAβs Vulcan finally receives that installation that weβve been waiting all year for. The Crew 4 mission appears to have been βDelightfully Boringβ. Some interesting updates on the Firefly mission. Not quite as smooth as it may have first appeared. And yes, a few other incredible things to talk about too.

I donβt know about you, but seeing a full stack of Starship again this week has been hugely exciting. That was the very first full stack for Booster 7 and Ship 24! There is a lot to cover today including a bunch of interesting vehicle construction in the pipeline, and amazing aerial views. The International Space Station crew rotation is always fun with Crew Dragon performing its duties beautifully. Crew 5 settling in with Crew 4 return. We had SpaceX's mind bending landing time-lapse from the drone ship perspective, but one that also witnessed almost the full Falcon 9 trajectory. Oh yes, that Intelsat G-33/G-34 launch was a fun one for a few reasons. We had the SpaceX HOTBIRD 13F as I was clicking the render button, and then weβve got a lot more to dive into as well like NASA CAPSTONE being alive and well. Letβs light this candle.

It has been a hive of activity getting ready for more exciting static fires of Booster 7 and Ship 24 this week. With the ship perhaps failing to pass a test mid week and with the tower arms and scaffolding, a little SpaceX double trouble at the launch site. Starlink version 2 to ride on Falcon 9 perhaps, but also the announcement of global mobile coverage of your mobile phone!? That is a bigger announcement than it might first appear. And pinch yourself because yes, the mission weβve been waiting for since the end of the space race is coming hopefully in just days now. And loads of other cool stuff as well. We have the International Space Station, SpEED Demon, zipping its way to the ionosphere and some new treats thanks to the James Webb Space Telescope.

Today we are talking about SpaceXβs hints at using nuclear propulsion along with NASAβs Artemis plans, which also mention nuclear propulsion. Will SpaceX and NASA plan to invest heavily in such things? It has been said that Human Mars exploration and nuclear propulsion is inevitable. This remains to be seen, but you might be surprised at the colossal difference it would make compared to the chemical engines currently in use. Other highly efficient methods of propulsion, like ion drives are becoming more and more common for long duration missions, and we can even compare all this with some more futuristic options. I think you are really going to love this one.

Does NASA & SpaceX's Plan with Artemis Make Sense? The journey to Mars! Over the past few decades, there have been some fascinating proposals to define which method, and what associated hardware, crew will use to make the trip. Though each mission profile is seemingly more feasible then the last, all have been far too expensive and potentially dangerous to justify the risk. That is changing. With the release of NASAβs βMoon to Marsβ strategy, we finally have a proposal that inches us ever closer. Of course SpaceX's Starship is set to lower the cost of βMass to Orbitβ by orders of magnitude giving these proposals a real chance to be implemented, and in this video, weβll take a look at what this path to Mars might look like and how it could evolve.

We are still some way off seeing this system in full swing, however, in the grand scheme of things it wonβt be long before we are witnessing not just orbital Starship launches, but crewed Starship missions that will take humanity back to the surface of the moon, on even longer duration deep space flights, and eventually out to Mars and beyond. But first, Iβm sure you have a whole host of questions regarding how exactly humans can survive long duration spaceflight, and in this video we are looking at exactly that.

#SpaceX #Starship #StarlinkThe First 3D Printed Rocket Launch to Orbit is Coming Soon - Relativity Space with Tim EllisMarcus House2022-03-29 | Today I have the incredible privilege to chat along with the CEO of Relativity Space, Tim Ellis. We are all very much looking forward to witnessing a very great milestone. The FIRST 3D printed rocket (or at least the vast majority is 3D printed). This is Terran 1, with nine Aeon 1 engines on the first stage. This is an expendable vehicle, but it just the first prototype rocket to test the 3D printing technology. The next rocket already in development!? Yep, that is the Terran R. A fully reusable rocket including its engines, first stage, second stage, and payload fairing. Lets talk about the incredible reduction of cost to orbit that this can provide along with the technology itself. Thanks very much Tim for joining me on the channel. We all appreciate your time.
As always there is space news everywhere to talk about this week. At Starbase The next generation of Starship is being assembled while Booster 4 testing finally involves the use of methane. The announcement indicating that SpaceX Starship 20 and Booster 4 Retired. There is good news with this though. Another captivating spacewalk with breath-taking views of the International Space Station and our world below. OneWeb changes launch provider. And with the deployment of the James Webb Space Telescope happening just as we hit a tally of 5000 recorded exoplanets and counting, are we about to enter a new golden era for astronomy?

A big week with SpaceX Starship Stacked and Tested, NASA SLS Rolls to the Pad, and a Record Falcon 9 landing. You know how SpaceX rapidly stacked Ship 20 for Elons 2022 presentation before it was rapidly destacked? Well, this week, it looks like we have finally progressed further for some more major testing. A beautiful milestone for SpaceXβs 20 years of existence just this week. The Space Launch System rolled out of the VAB on its way to the pad on the incredible NASA crawler. Astra roared off the pad again, but did they reach orbit this time? We have a space walk on the ISS capturing magnificent footage of Kayla and Raja in action, an update on Mark Vande Heiβs return on Soyuz, something that has been getting a lot of attention in the media. Then of course Starlink takes flight again as we also explore related news around the network.

Not so much launch activity this week but that certainly doesn't mean there is a shortage of action. Starbase 1 & 2 updates with some pretty cool new stuff to share on Booster 7 and 8. We have a SpaceX Broom Sticks (Starlink) launch and news all around the network this week. NASA is just about to conduct the SLS Artemis I Rollout (Space Launch System preparing for the Artemis I mission). A moon impact making all the news that you would expect from something that couldnβt be seen by anyone or anything, and Axiom Space prepares for the Axiom Space AX-1 mission on Crew Dragon.

Over at Starbase the next generation of Starship is already starting to take shape while further rounds of testing are being performed on the last. Loads of great SpaceX Starship Updates with both Starbase 1 and 2 in Florida. Rocket Lab kicked off their 2022 launch campaign this week. There was something extra special about this The Owl's Night Continues mission, and it wasnβt even about the rocket. What have they been up to? United Launch Alliance unleashed the dominator this week, sending the latest GOES T weather satellite to orbit. We have another JWST Update, and Three Crew Dragons (missions) awarded to SpaceX!

A kind of odd week this week with SpaceX Starship Updates. Discarding another Starship it seems, but full steam ahead on a new ship, and some interesting insights into the lift points on the tower. A super busy week for SpaceXβs Falcon 9 with another 2 Starlink Missions launches, but there were some new changes to these missions. We have Northrop Grummanβs launch of the Cygnus resupply mission to the International Space Station, but this is not just a typical mission. Cygnus has another role to play. And with ULA not bidding on one of the largest launches of the decade, the Roman Space Telescope looks like it could go SpaceXβs way.

Well it is a good thing there was a bit of a pause on loads of launch activity because we wouldnβt have time to fit them in anyway. This week, obviously has been a massive one of SpaceX's Visions of the Future and Starship Updates and interesting insights. Not to mention of course the Starship Presentation 2022 on Thursday. A few quick mentions with the loss of a bunch of Starlink Satellites and some Mars updates too.

Iβm also diving into the new Roberts Road Facility is already making significant progress, and we even already have signs of similar platforms to those at Starbase. 3 Falcon 9 launches in 4 days. The Cosmo-Skymed mission this past week was a unique one for SpaceX. Just check this out. Then Falcon 9 took to the sky two more times as well with the NROL 87 mission, another Starlink launch, and Iβve got some other neat things to touch on as well.

This week at Starbase facility in Texas, SpaceX Starship Updates and Raptor 2 Ramp Up continues. There has been yet another interesting one, and also some pretty positive signs of progress with Raptor 2. More astounding footage to check out here. JWST at Lagrange points 2 as well. An amazing step yet again with the James Webb Space Telescope parks itself successfully up at Lagrange Point 2 early in the week. NASA Needs Personnel! Could NASA be lacking the personnel required for their next giant leap? It seems so. And small rocket providers continue to soar with Rocket Lab and Astra.
