Throughout his book, he delivers 52 unconventional definitions of Immersive Virtual Reality. Here, Lanier tries to answer the question of "what is virtual reality", while giving justice to its varied potential for eperiences. In this article, I will present each one of them, and discuss how Lanier’s ideas can help us to imagine the true potential of Virtual Reality — for better and for worse.

Bostrom argues that at least one of them has to be true:
The human species is very likely to go extinct before reaching a “posthuman” stage where we can run simulations;
Any posthuman civilization is extremely unlikely to run a significant number of simulations of their evolutionary history (or variations thereof);
We are almost certainly living in a computer simulation.
Here, Bostrom argues that if humans develop the possibility of running perfect simulations and actually want to do so (thus, if the first two possibilities are not true), then we are almost certainly already living in a simulation. How can this be?
This is the topic for today's video, in addition to some other philosophical examples on the same topic!

In this video, I show how Jaron Lanier warned us of Meta. We take a look at Lanier's warning and why Meta is highly dangerous and should be boycotted.
The video explains why the users of "the Metaverse" like Decentraland and Sandbox wish to become, does not benefit from having exclusive or limited virtual land. This is what Edward Snowden referred to as the NFT ish-ness of these projects. While Metaverse projects can greatly benefit from crypto, metaverse real estate is in my opinion the wrong approach. Virtual land investment might still increase in value, but one's investment will not be turned towards any good product that people in the end will want to use. We therefore haven't seen the best metaverse crypto tokens yet, in my opinion, it would have to be someone that opens up the space for everyone to participate, like a blockchain version of VRChat. While these projects are still better than Meta or Facebook or whatever, they do a lot of things wrong which limit their potential greatly. Whether Mana can still do an 100x or not (and I severely doubt it, it looks like Habbo hotel), it's not a good investment for humanity as we have the possibility to invest in projects that are actually good for us. Buying metaverse property for sale, whether Decentraland or Sandbox, is just silly.
A lot of fun stuff in just 40 minutes, if I was me, I would definitely pay attention to what Zen Republic is doing in terms of blockchain-based VR in the future. Luckily I am!

To partake in the competition:
0: Watch the video, it contains all instructions.
More concretely:
1. Watch the video part where I show you the 12 objects I have stored in the Throne Hall.
2. The 12 objects are associations to words that constitute my Ravencoin recovery phrase
3. The order of the words in the recovery phrase is the order in which the objects are introduced
4. The 12 words can be found amongst the words in this word list:
kryptodots.com/wp-content/downloads/bip-0039-English-wordlist-2pag-v2.5.pdf
If that link doesn’t work, google «bip 0039 english» or go here: github.com/bitcoin/bips/blob/master/bip-0039/english.txt
5. To test your recovery phrase, download a Ravencoin wallet and enter the recovery phrase
I use the wallet from ravencoin.org/wallet
6. If you win, be sure to send your Ravencoin to another wallet, so that someone who cracks it after you doesn't win!

In this video, I will show you how you can create a avatar that looks like you, rig it for full body tracking, upload it to VRChat, AND turn it into an NFT for sale on OpenSea! NFTs are an abbreviation for non-fungible tokens and may have a very important role for control of identity and asset ownership in social VR applications, or any mystical Metaverse that might be coming our way. Learn more about both today and be one of the first to create your very own NFT avatar!

Memoria: Stories of La Garma is an interactive virtual reality journey narrated by Geraldine Chaplin that gives audiences the chance to explore the stories trapped intact inside the cave of La Garma for more than 16.000 years.
The user can walk around three spaces of the cave, captured with millimetric precision using laser scanners and photogrammetry, and unleash the memories of each space, including palaeolithic hunters, a mom and her child and the terrifying cave lion who made his way deep into the cave to live his final days.

This technology is often being markedet as stimulating the pineal gland (aka third eye) in order to produce DMT. While I don't necessarily believe this is well-founded for explaining the effects, this device is very impressive in its ability to provide interesting visuals! In the video, I present the product and review it together with a friend.
