What are the odds that their setlist would include the Titanic theme song of all things? This all seems impossible.Then, right before Dethklok took the stage Dragonforce played their most popular song, Through the Fire and Flames. If you've played Guitar Hero in the mid 2000's, you probably know the song. Feels like a life goal achieved by seeing it played live.Tried my best to edit the audio to remove the "concert sound" stereotype. (heavy bass, deep drums, etc.) Not quite sure how it turned out. Exploring the Capstan Lounge Onboard RMS Queen Mary Sckadoo 2024-03-23 | I told myself, "This trip, I'm just gonna enjoy the Queen Mary. No rushing around trying to film all the hallways. No stressing about cameras or equipment. I'm just going to relax in a fancy stateroom for a few days."....and then I found an unlocked door....This is the Capstan Lounge, former 2nd Class overflow lounge turned Beachcombers Club turned Italian restaurant turned event space. Nothing but the deck equipment is original in this room. It was all lost during the Long Beach conversion before she reopened as a hotel. Similar to the 2nd Class Main Lounge on the deck above, this room was expanded into the covered promenade deck on the port and starboard sides and completely enclosed. As far as I'm aware, this is probably the least used event space onboard the ship. I've never seen events take place here, and as you can see in the video, half the room is used for storage of Christmas trees and tables.

A Queen Mary Tour... in STORMWORKS?! Sckadoo 2023-07-24 | Stormworks: Build & Rescue is a physics based vehicle simulator where you can create vehicles to complete game missions, and somebody went ahead and rebuilt a staggering amount of the Queen Mary as she was in 1936. Shout out to Icemonster360 for all time they spent on building this, it must have taken months! Even within the limitations of what Stormworks gives you to build with, it still comes across as highly detailed. Ontop of all that, you can actually sail it around from the bridge, and just in case it also comes with a couple of lifeboats in case you happen to find the scuttle switch.This was a really fun video to make. I love how the ship slowly rolls back and forth just like she would have in real life. I feel like with just this one model the gaps in my knowledge of how some places once fit together have gotten filled in. I even left some areas for you to explore on your own. I didn't spoil everything. Well, sort of. A lot of what I didn't show are just hallways with dead end passages. Also the interior of Sun deck. That's all there, and there's not even a peek of it in the video. RMS Britannic Exploration! - Britannic: Patroness of the Mediterranean Sckadoo 2023-06-30 | What would the Britannic look like if she never entered war service? Today we step into an alternate history and see what could have been.Famously, Britannic would have had a pipe organ installed in her Grand Staircase between A and Boat Decks. In 2007 it was discovered that this organ still exists. It is now in a museum and is played from time to time. The first 2 songs in the video are performed on this organ! Britannic would also have a Children's Playroom up on Boat Deck, opposite side of the Gym. Somehow, this ended up being a set in the movie 'A Night To Remember' even though Titanic never had a Children's Playroom. White Star would also add more cabins on A-Deck just aft of the Grand Staircase. On Titanic this would have just been promenade deck space. I wonder how those travelers would have appreciated an organ right outside their doors. I know Queen Mary has struggled with sound insulation and this was 20 years before her. The B-Deck boarding entrance has changed, using new larger windows on the doors leading into the Grand Staircase, and extending the promenade to the front of the superstructure. We also have a brand new 1st Class Mail Room on this deck, relieving the Purser's Desk from that duty. Heading down the stairs we see that furniture has started being removed from the cabins in preparation for her conversion into a hospital ship. After a peek at the Purser's Desk, we see our first Stateroom, the Gregorian Parlor Suite. A bedroom with attached sitting room. Heading back upstairs, we see the Regal Suite with attached private verandah. Then we see the 1st Class Pool, a grand step up from what Titanic and Olympic had. Titanic in Belfast Exploration! - Titanic: Honor & Glory - Demo 3 Sckadoo 2023-06-27 | Here's a blast from the past! Demo 3 came out in 2017 and this would be the first time we we would be able to see the exterior of the ship in game! This would also be our first time seeing environments outside of Titanic, such as Harland & Wolff and the Belfast Docks. We get to see the Arrol Gantries off in the distance, and the Thompson Graving Drydock with attached pumphouse. The main thing we'll be exploring will be the Harland & Wolff Fitting Out Dock. It is a maze of freight cars and ladders, but I know the way. We even escape out of the maze and get a nice view of Titanic's bow. 1st Class Lower Decks Exploration! - Titanic: Honor & Glory - Demo 401 (With Added Music & Effects) Sckadoo 2023-06-26 | Well I took my time with this one, didn't I? How long has Demo 401 been out now? Really, I was just waiting for a patch to fix the windows in the Reception Room and Dining Room. Unfortunately, it looks like that could take longer than expected. So I decided to go ahead and make the video anyway, finishing off the 1st Class spaces I never got around to in the other videos.Starting off in the D-Deck Reception Room, we get to see the famous candelabra ontop of a pedestal of the Grand Staircase. Turning around and hanging on the wall is a French Tapestry that is based on a series called “Chasse de Guise.” In the corner of the room we see Titanic's grand piano, along with some White Star Line Music Booklets sitting ontop of it. Here, we also see the interior of the stained glass windows, showing the portholes on the other side. Side note, the window textures are not final. Heading into the dining room we see the tables set and ready for the next meal. In the center of the room are elaborately carved wood panels that surround another piano. Heading downstairs we get to see the one and only cabin in this tour, Cabin E-23. This is supposedly Molly Brown's cabin. Through a door and down another set of stairs, we come to the Squash Court, the lowest 1st Class Facility onboard Titanic. Down the hall we come to the Post Office and 1st Class Baggage rooms. The layouts of these rooms might change for the final game. Finally, we end with the Turkish Bath complex and take a swim in the 1st Class Pool down on F-Deck.Since Demo 401 is so quiet, I've decided to add the Titanic: Honor & Glory soundtrack, as well as some sound effects. Exploring M-Deck Onboard RMS Queen Mary Sckadoo 2023-05-26 | Let's take a walk down M-Deck onboard the RMS Queen Mary in Long Beach, California! All the cabins & staterooms on this deck were for 1st Class only, although 3rd Class had their Garden Lounge at the bow and 2nd Class had a few places towards the stern; such as the Lounge, Promenade, and Library. All of the 2nd Class spaces on this deck have been modified to be completely indoors and interconnected. The Lounge has been restored to how it originally looked, as Cunard had changed it during Queen Mary's cruising stint. Exploring A-Deck Onboard RMS Queen Mary Sckadoo 2023-05-26 | We'll be taking a look at A-Deck today! 1st Class is located amidships, with most of the cabins still intact and used by the hotel. 2nd Class is located towards the stern, and 3rd Class is located near the bow, both these areas rooms have been modified to accommodate hotel guests. The rooms were too small so most of the time they turned 4 cabins into 1. 2nd Class had a Lounge near the stern that's been heavily modified, but we only get to see it though a window. 3rd Class also had a Smoking Room on this deck, but we'll be saving that for a future video. We'll also look around at the intricate marquetry panels that are on display in the hotel lobby. Exploring Cabin A-123 - RMS Queen Mary Sckadoo 2023-05-24 | Originally numbered A-77, A-123 is one of the 1st Class suite cabins located on A Deck onboard the Queen Mary. While M Deck had the main suite cabins, the A Deck suites had the option to turn their sitting rooms into an extra bed room if the need arises. The original wood paneling is beautiful, and the punkah louvres still work and blow cold air! The bathroom, while similar to all the other Queen Mary bathrooms, had a different layout to what I'm used to which is interesting. R & C Deck Exploration! - RMS Queen Mary Sckadoo 2023-05-23 | R Deck, also known as Restaurant Deck, had the large 1st Class Dining Saloon situated in amidships, the 2nd Class Dining Saloon was towards the aft end of the ship, and the 3rd Class Dining Saloon was forward towards the bow. While I wasn't able to get inside the 1st Class Dining Saloon this trip, we still get to see a glimpse of the state the 3rd Class Dining Saloon is in. We also head down the 3rd Class Forward Staircase down to C Deck and take a walk to the 1st Class Pool, passing by watertight doors as we go. We even get to see down into the Boiler Rooms from one of the Funnel Hatches. Exploring Piccadilly Circus onboard Queen Mary Sckadoo 2023-05-21 | Welcome back onboard! The Queen Mary had her soft reopening last week after being shut down due to the Covid Pandemic. Piccadilly Circus, or the Main Hall, has gotten a little bit of a touch up since we've last seen it. They have a brand new flooring installed, as well as new LED lights in the ceiling. Currently the pathways leading back to the lego room are still undergoing flooring renovations so they have been roped off. While the Observation Bar was still closed during my visit, you could still get inside by taking one of the tours. TITANIC - A Visual Timeline of Events Sckadoo 2023-04-14 | Have you ever wondered what Titanic was up to before the sinking?Today we'll be taking a look at Titanic's history as an Ocean Liner.Beginning in Belfast, we'll see the ship undergo her sea trials to ensure everything is functioning properly. Then it's off to Southampton where Titanic will dock for 6 days while she loads supplies for her maiden voyage. On the day of the voyage, she nearly collides with the liner SS New York but narrowly avoids it by 4 feet. After that hiccup, we'll sail across the Channel to Cherbourg, France where the SS Nomadic and SS Traffic will ferry passengers out to the Titanic. Then it's off to Queenstown, Ireland where the PS America and PS Ireland will ferry the last remaining passengers and cargo aboard. Titanic will then sail on into legend, sinking on April 14-15, 1912. Afterwards, With the survivors safely onboard Carpathia, she somberly sails back into New York under rainfall. 73 years later, Dr. Robert Ballard discovers the wrecksite and returns with the DSV Alvin and ROV Jason Jr. to further explore it. In 1995, 2001, & 2005, James Cameron makes dives to the wrecksite to gain footage for various films and documentaries. Britannic Deck Tour GONE WRONG - Britannic: Patroness of the Mediterranean Sckadoo 2023-03-21 | What starts off as a regular Deck Tour turns into tragedy.Exiting the Grand Staircase, we enter the A-Deck Enclosed Promenade. The windows here have been enlarged compared to Titanic, and now more resemble Queen Mary's promenade. Heading forward to the Forecastle Deck, we get to examine some of the machinery used for docking and anchoring. Then, the unexpected happens. Britannic hits a mine. There is a large explosion, and the horns start signaling. We bring up the special Helm Cam to see what is happening at the Bridge. As our tour continues, we head upstairs to the B-Deck Enclosed Promenade. A feature Olympic had but was left out of Titanic. Britannic's only goes as far as the boarding entrance though, as Olympic's extends the entire length of the deck. Up another flight of stairs, we come to the Bridge. There is an annoying alarm going off letting everyone know we just struck a mine. For sanity's sake, I have muted it. Our tour is put on temporary pause as we watch some of the first lifeboats being swung out. As we loop around the aft funnel, we come across a staircase leading down to the A-Deck Open Promenade. This would have been attached to the Enclosed Promenade we saw earlier, but has been separated by a temporary wall due to the war. After that, word gets around that a few of the lifeboats have already launched. Feeling panicked, it is best to head to a lifeboat now. Unfortunately, this is not the right boat to be in. Neither is the next. Not wanting to crush any more lifeboats, a signal is sent out to stop all engines. While Britannic has stopped, it is now the best time to evacuate everyone else. While the evacuation commences, lets take a look at the aft areas we haven't seen yet. Heading downstairs, we will see the Aft Open Promenade, Shade Deck, Docking Bridge, and Aft Closed Promenade. Finally, with all the lifeboats launched, Britannic restarts her engines for the last time to pull away. Exploring HMHS Britannic! - Britannic: Patroness of the Mediterranean Sckadoo 2023-03-12 | Stripped of her luxury and requisitioned for war, today we'll be taking a look at HMHS Britannic! Starting off at what's left of the Grand Staircase, we'll wander the halls and see how they converted everything from ocean liner to hospital ship. While most of the fancy paneling has been removed, the banisters of the Grand Staircase remain as they are part of what holds the entire staircase together. Most of the forward A-Deck cabins remain the same as well, as their decorations could easily be replaced if it was damaged during the ships war service. Heading upstairs, we come upon the former Children's Playroom, now used as a storage space. Any space not utilized for patients or staff would be converted to storage. A new addition to Britannic, the elevators finally go all the way up to boat deck. We'll take a look at them before going over to the former Gymnasium. This space was most likely used for leisure activities by the RAMC Officers. Heading down the Grand Staircase once more, we'll take a look at the converted Regal and Gregorian Suites. Then finally, we'll cool off and take a dip in the pool! This deck was mainly for 1st class passengers, although there were some 2nd class cabins near the rear. We also take a look at the engraved artwork in the 2nd class staircase.
Exploring the Bridge of the Queen Mary Sckadoo 2019-09-28 | A short tour of the Bridge of the Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA. The bridge is the navigational command center onboard the ship. The ship had three wheels, one for control, one as a backup, and the third (grey) one was specially designed to hold a heading and acted as an 'autopilot'. Telegraphs for the engine room, docking, steering, and anchor/cable were also found here. Other equipment included a master compass, mechanical sounding equipment, echo sounding equipment, and an early form of radar added in the 1940's. A loudaphone system was also located here. (I had to use still photos in the video since the reflection was too great) Loudaphones are basically telephones that are able to filter out most background noise. Sometimes the crew allows you to walk though the chartrooms, but I think that's only when a guide is on the bridge and he was just leaving when I was getting there.
Exploring the Upper Decks of the Queen Mary Sckadoo 2019-09-26 | A walk around the upper decks of the Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA. The decks have more or less been unchanged throughout the history of the ship. The lifeboats used to have a catwalk beside them that was taken out during the Long Beach conversion to open up the deck. Only one staircase remains of this catwalk system, and is used for the entrance to Sir Winston's restaurant. Of her 25 lifeboats, only 17 are original. When she came to Long Beach, she had 3 fiberglass lifeboats off of the SS Sylvania, and two others were actually pontoons to allow her to dock in South American ports during her Last Great Cruise. The lifeboats later shifted around during her conversion, but as it stands now lifeboats # 4, 7, 16, 19, and 23 are not the original ones. What about the two missing on the aft port side? During the 1980's they used to have "lifeboat drills" where a staff member would demonstrate the launching of the lifeboats. One day the cables snapped and the lifeboat broke upon impact with the water. They no longer hold lifeboat drills. The second one went missing in the 90's when Disney owned the ship and had the idea of replacing all the lifeboats with replicas, so they took one off to take measurements and it was never seen again.
Exploring Suite M-105 onboard the Queen Mary Sckadoo 2019-09-26 | Suite M-105, The Eisenhower Suite, consists of a sitting room, a master bedroom, 2 bathrooms, a stewards bedroom, and a small walk in closet (not filmed). Originally, these would have been cabins M-59, M-61, and M-63, with the option of adding in M-57 if you needed more space.

Exploring the Boiler Rooms of the Queen Mary Sckadoo 2019-09-19 | A short walkthough video of Boiler Rooms 1-3 and the Forward Turbo Generator Room. Unfortunately the tour was cut short since they were doing construction in Boiler Room 4 in preparation for QM's Dark Harbor. I plan on going back in the future and getting more footage to make a better video for you guys, and actually complete the walk though the lower part of the ship.
Exploring the Isolation Ward of the Queen Mary Sckadoo 2019-09-18 | A short walkthough of the Isolation Ward onboard the Queen Mary in Long Beach. The Isolation Ward was used to house passengers carrying communicable diseases away from other passengers and crew. Located at the aft end of B Deck, two rooms separated the men from the women, while each room could house a total of 5 people. The small room that you are able to walk into would have been for the female nurse attendants, while there would have been an identical room on the port side for male nurse attendants. After her conversion in the late 60's, these rooms were gutted and used for storage. In 1999, an attempt was made to expand the self guided "Ship Tour" of the Queen Mary, and the Isolation Wards made perfect sense to restore due to their relatively easy accessibility and potentially popular interest, i.e., sickness and death at sea as well as stowaways. My hope is the new owners look to this space as an example when planning for future exhibits.
Exploring the Main Hall in 2019 Onboard the Queen Mary Sckadoo 2019-09-15 | A walkthough of the Main Hall and Observation Bar onboard the Queen Mary in Long Beach. The Main Hall has also been known as Band Street and Piccadilly Circus. Located between the first and mid funnels, the Main Hall was the central area for First Class to meet up and do some shopping. Shops offered back in the day included a clothing store, tobacco store, and a book store. Above the staircase is a beautifully sculpted mural of Queen Mary by Lady Hilton Young. This was later replaced by a replica. Below that would have been the Royal Standard Flag presented by the Queen, which was later moved to the QE2 and replaced with a picture of the Queen.
Exploring Abandoned London Town Sckadoo 2019-06-20 | London Town, Queen's Marketplace, Queen's Gate, not quite sure what they're calling it nowadays. The slide at the end says the future is uncertain, well not anymore. Within the next 2 years, this whole marketplace will be demolished, so I'm kinda glad I got the footage when I did.
