After my last video I started working on this and as you might be able to tell it was pretty ambitious. I wanted to tell a real story instead of just another action video like usual, but it turned out to be a bigger challenge than I thought. As much as I would like to finish this video, which I started last summer, it is unlikely that I'd finish it even this summer. LEGO Nightwing VS The Winter Soldier Future Past Productions 2019-06-09 | This was originally just supposed to be a quick test with my Logitech webcam after I changed some settings, but I figured since I have't uploaded on this channel in a while I'd just clean it up a bit and post it here. I've been meaning to do a bigger update on the community tab but most people don't really check it anyway lol. I should hopefully have another video out in August or so, it's a pretty big video and I'm working hard on it, so I think you'll all enjoy it. But my next video after that might not be until like December. I'm doing my exams for school currently so that's taking up a lot of time and I haven't had much time to work on 'The Briefcase.' In all honesty I've even thought of just not making it because how big of a project it is even though I've already put a lot into it, but I think I'll just wait until next year and see how things go, it's possible that if I do make it it could be my last brickfilm. As much as I want to continue I don't know how much time I'll have next year, I think the most likely outcome is that I'll just stop making normal videos and instead occasionally join in on BFD events or random contests, whether I make The Briefcase or not. But anyway, aside from all that, I think I somewhat fixed the settings for the camera, there's still some weird colour changing/flicker but it's not as noticeable, but then again that could just be because the camera is constantly moving in this short test haha. LEGO Captain Marvel Future Past Productions 2019-03-08 | To go along with the release of 'Captain Marvel' which releases today in most places, here is my own Captain Marvel brickfilm!I know this is far from my best work - the green screen didn't turn out as clean as I'd hoped it would and the sound editing isn't amazing either, along with generally bad-ish vfx and generic story… But aside from all of that, I still think it turned out alright. I'm pretty happy with the animation and most of the vfx was pretty new to me, so it was definitely a learning experience. And if you're wondering, the sound effects stop when she goes into space because 'there's no sound in space' haha... I’d guess there’s probably around 100-200 or so more really old ones that I don’t have that were made with this software at around the same time, and way more that aren't even animations, just pictures, like the very first animation in this video, not even mentioning the ‘newer’ of the old ones I did on my phone. But most are either deleted, lost, or would take a lot of work to get back, and I don’t really fancy doing that haha.All of these (excluding the first since it wasn’t technically an actual animation) were made using the animation software ‘’Zu3D’. I am aware that there are many mobile apps that are easily accessible and can be used on your phone, but back in 2011 or so when I started animating, I didn’t have that, so my dad bought me this software.It’s a very good software for anyone starting out in animation on your computer. I see many people upgrade from their phone to Dragonframe straight after, but it is quite expensive and not necessarily the best software to just move to quickly from your phone or iPad (which is what most use when starting out nowadays). The software might seem a little outdated at this point from what I remember of it, but since I haven’t used it in years, there's most likely a bunch of new updates and features! This video was made for LEGO Star Wars Celebration Month, for Solo: A Star Wars Story, in partnership with Brickfilm Day.Now, I know this is far from my best work, and I would just like to explain that a little. I am currently in the middle of doing half of my GCSEs in school this year, and I had to release this this weekend, so I had a bit of a time constraint. That is why you will notice that there no sound effects for about half of the video. It was pretty much impossible for me to do all the sound effects whilst also studying for tests, so my good friend James Cawood kindly did the first 2 or so minutes for me. He was unable to finish them sadly, but even if I were to continue doing the rest, I wouldn't have been able to finish them for a quite a while. And animation wise, I tried a LOT of new things with this film. I tried new lighting, which is why there is often light reflecting on the walls. I tried new animation techniques, such as using the roof and vents in some scenes, which are quite hard to animate. And this is probably the most visual effects I've ever done for a film, a lot of which I had never tried before, such as the green screen and blaster shots.
