Guitar Blues Rock Backing Track: Am Uptempo ZZ Top styled Blues Rock jam track for guitar
ZZ Top Influenced rocking blues / rock n roll guitar blues backing track. I wanted something uptempo that I could work on some more fierce blues licks on. At the time of making these, I found there was an abundance of backing tracks on the web which were slow blues, or down tempo and I found myself repeatedly hunting for something with a little more energy. In addition, we were playing a similar ZZ Top sound with my band, to which there's a whole load of improvised solo work, so I wanted something of a similar key and feel I can work on these licks with.
Progression is Am C Am Em Dm Am
This was probably my first 'complete' attempt at a backing track, and a blues backing track for that matter. I'd been making rough ones for myself for over a year, and sharing them amongst my friends. It was only a few days prior to recording this they suggested making something more complete, and posting it onto YouTube. The recording overall I'm pleased with, I've evolved my techniques though somewhat - I usually try for a different bass sound these days and pan my guitars quite a bit harder.
