In this video I speculate what may have happened when a couple became stranded overnight just north of the Narrows in Zion National Park on a day hike. News media interpreted NPS statements in a way I think contrary to what actually happened that recent day.

For clarity: I collapsed the Riverside Walk. Also, I stated Obermeyer Gulch, it's actually Oberland Gulch. My apologies.
