Bursa Malaysia has issued an unusual market activity query to Zetrix AI Bhd after its shares plunged more than 50 per cent to 29.5 sen, with about 822 million shares traded.
The regulator wants Zetrix to clarify whether there are any undisclosed corporate developments, rumours or reports behind the sharp sell-off.
Intraday short-selling of Zetrix shares was also suspended for the rest of the day.
The sell-off came days after Zetrix reported a 35 per cent rise in second-quarter net profit to RM269.25 million and declared a 0.25 sen interim dividend.
Zetrix has yet to provide an official explanation for the sharp fall in its shares.
