ZeroAvia’s #HyperTruck was out on the tarmac for testing the propulsion system last week.
ZeroAvia’s 15-ton HyperTruck mobile ground testing platform serves as a test stand to safely test the systems that will be installed and used on the #aircraft. The HyperTruck is designed to withstand the full thrust loads of #ZeroAvia #propulsion systems up to 3.5MW - which is exactly what we are targeting for our 90-seat powerplant for the @AlaskaAirlines’ Dash 8-Q400 #airplane.
Aboard the truck is a complete propulsion system including two #fuelcell systems, electric motors, the #propeller, inverters to drive the motor, #batteries, and the independent cooling systems for all of the above.
Callum Ritchie, #ZeroAvia Junior Aerospace Technician, is using a handheld thermal camera to measure the thermal performance of components in our electrical system.
