I haven't worked out a "several short routes" plan in stage 1.
Lol, I cut the video short because another slime had arrived. :) If there are other slimes around, I abandon my routes and just try to go where they are not.

The developer let me know the game was updated so here we go again. :)
The biggest change I see is that there are three modes now.
Tutorial - short informative tutorial at the start, no monsters
Easy - no monsters
Hard - with waves of monsters
The monsters are so easy to beat though, just hit a button when youre near them, and eating the monsters provides major growth. I am almost sure Hard would be the fastest mode to play through.
In any case, I still think this game is pretty awesome. :D")
