The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time Kokiri Forest Remix -
I present you a remaster from 2017! I felt my old remix of Kokiri Forest was lacking character & quality, in addition to an abundance of percussion mistakes, I overall wasn't as satisfied as I could have been. For this version, I changed the genre from "chill-trap" to my good ol' reliable house music...with a twist! I maintained a slower kick drum pattern in the "verse" sections of the track, while implementing a stronger, upbeat hat + snare combo to sustain the energy throughout the track; and, of course, the drop now captures the original melody in style! Enjoy!!

The world is not ready for this remix!!! The iconic Shantae soundtrack Burning Town (labeled We Love Burning Town in Pirates Curse) is by far one of the coolest soundtracks Ive ever heard!! Major shoutout to Jake Kaufman for producing such luxurious melodic segments. And to be totally honest, this style of music is so incredibly fun to make I cant even describe it â its almost on par with my love for producing Electro Swing!
And of course this remix could not have sounded better without @NoteBlock, who just celebrated his 10-year anniversary of YouTube remixes, which is just an incredible achievement! I could not be more thrilled to introduce a new collaborator to the channel: Ian Cowell!!! ðļ
Ian is a phenomenal guitarist in the VGM scene â I first discovered him performing at MAGFest 2023. His performance was titled Ian Cowell & His Band of Exceptional Goblins â with a name like that I couldnt possibly pass that up! Lo & behold, this guy starts jamming some of my favorite nostalgic tunes with some of the best musicians Ive ever heard!
I then got to see him perform again at VGMCon 2023 & most recently saw his performance at MAGFest 2024; I could not help myself but to reach out so we could produce this epic cover of the Wave Race 64 Opening Theme! Not to mention, this is one of his favorite songs ð
As somebody who primarily produces electronic music, I look up to musicians that can actually play an instrument; Im continuously told that DJing is equivalent to playing a live instrument, but I still feel like its not the same. I will admit, its nice to hold an instrument to actually play notes & chords to a remix! This is also my first time recording with a green screen, so I apologize for my awkwardness, haha. I think I nailed it, though! ð

The idea of remixing Speed Highway actually came up while I was randomly playing Sonic Generations; I looked up the OST & never realized the Classic remix was produced by Cash Cash!! Theyve been a huge inspiration of mine in the electronic music world, and was instantly motivated to produce my own version!
