FINALLY DONE WITH THIS VIDEO
I started it in April because I thought the song fit the anime perfectly, and the plan was to wait for more episodes to come out so I could progressively add scenes. the thing is, if I don’t finish something within 3/4 days, I never do 🤡 so it stayed there 90% done until today. I even chose the worst moment possible to work on it, since I’ve been staying at a house on the beach since august 2nd and there is no internet connection at all there… not even good phone reception actually, I have to walk around like an idiot just to send a message on WhatsApp. I feel like I’ve been cast away on a deserted island 🥲 but I’ve come back home for one day thankfully, so I could download some stuff to watch + edit when I’m there. this is also the reason why i haven't been able to reply to comments lately, i'll make up for it as soon as i can
I’m even writing the description from my phone because the video was actually finished more than an hour ago, but my family decided to be a nuisance as usual and I can’t find five minutes to sit down at the computer in peace
anyway, finally a Moriarty video that isn’t Sherliam lol there are so many good characters I wanted to focus on :’) this was more about the "lord of crime" group, with william, albert, louis, fred, moran, jack and bond (i also wanted to include herder and patterson, but i couldn't find suitable scenes). i'm also planning another about just the moriarty brothers!

im uploading this for two reasons:
1. i hadnt edited proper fx in FOREVER and when i manage to finish a full part after such long breaks im always so relieved :) cause i often end up thinking i wont be able to do anything other than raw anymore lol but thankfully its not the case. *insert im still worthy! meme here*
2. i reached 16k subs today and as usual i didnt do anything special, so ill at least upload something to mark this milestone somehow haha thank you everyone!
talking about the part itself, this was actually a replacement and im happy i got to join this mep in the end because this used to be one of my favorite songs when it came out and editing it today gave me a nice nostalgic feeling :) it was a bit challenging because i somehow couldnt get the colors to look decent and in fact i had to restart several times from scratch, but once i finally figured out what to do it went quite smoothly (with the exception of the usual last 20% of the part curse lol im sure all editors know what im talking about). i had a lot of inspiration with this anime because there are so many telephone scenes to pick from, and i had SO MUCH FUN putting little funny details throughout the part, trying to replicate calls, messages and all this stuff as close to reality as i could. i even called my own phone 3249 times or sent messages to myself to see how everything changed on the screen, and the movement the phone made on the table while buzzing XD this last thing in particular made me waste quite some time and in the end its not even properly visible because i had to put the glitching effect to go with the song : ( but as i said, i had a good time and thats what matters
as you probably know, here in italy the virus situation is quite serious and ive been home for three weeks, i only go out once every four or five days to go shopping for food and even then i have to wait 40 minutes in line to get into the shop lol i pray these strict measures will produce their effects soon and everyone will be able to go back to a normal life as soon as possible. the good side of this is that i have A LOT of spare time and im being able to dedicate myself to editing like i hadnt done in years :)
i hope everyone stays safe, well get through this eventually!

yeah, im still alive apparently :O i think this has been the longest time i havent uploaded anything since i opened this channel lol anyway im not gonna delve into boring explanations of various problems, i just wanted to say that im extremely sorry for having been so distant from everything for a while ;w; but i think the situation is not gonna change so soon tbh because i will have something like 6/7 exams from now until the middle of July, so i should really avoid lazing around and study XD
that said, i hope ill also find the time to edit some personal project (i have so much stuff in mind, but i have the feeling that when ill try to actually edit it ill get stuck like it always happens lmao), so that next upload will not be some poor excuse of a MEP collection just to keep the channel alive, like in this case
at least im kinda happy because i tried new stuff, like editing raw in AE for the Start Breathing part (and idk when ill try a second time tbh because it makes me really frustrated), and developed some fashion designer skills by drawing that black dress at 0:07 XDD that was actually really fun

since i havent uploaded in five weeks, i thought it would be nice to do it now since i have something XD i put quite some effort into this, i even used Cinema 4D for the first time to create that clam shell thing (even though it looked so much better in the program, idk. i still have to understand the rendering settings i think) and that animation at 0:11 took like eight hours alone cause 1) it was not actually Kisumi in the fanart, that was from an entirely different anime, so i had to mess around a bit and make it look ok 2) i found it really difficult/confusing cause handling three characters at once is never pleasant lol (57 layers or something)
but tbh i had fun
im currently suffocating in exams and i also have 0 motivation to do anything, which is a problem :) at least though i was stupid enough to log out of my tumblr and since i basically NEVER type it, now i dont remember the password anymore and cant even manage to get it back atm, so yay for me, one less distraction i guess? XD i also have some unfinished edits i wanted to work on (yuri on ice for example lol so many), but sadly i dont have the time or inspiration. if someone knows a solution to this please tell me your sorcery
