when the moriarty mood hits, it just hits (even though this has been a constant mood since i read the manga in april lol)
i edited this super fast, it was supposed to be the chorus only at first and in the end i added a bit of a verse, which was a little challenging because of how i had to cut the audio (if you listen to the original song, you'll notice i had to mix things up a bit) and i'm glad i did. i kinda wanted to wait until tomorrow before finalizing the video, since the new episode is coming out and i might have had some more good scenes at my disposal, but since i'm also working on another moriarty video anyway i decided to just go for it
the other video i mentioned is gonna focus on more characters!
PS: only after finishing the edit, i realized i used a song by billie eilish for this anime AGAIN. i had always wanted to edit this one in particular, i had put it into a project years ago and changed anime twice, but here we are now because of a sudden inspiration :')

this must have been the most frustrating raw video ive ever edited, im d e c e a s e d
idk what went wrong, the song didnt even sound all that terrible to edit with and surely i didnt have lack of inspiration, but it took 4374823 years to finish regardless. well, at least its done and i wont have to deal with any of it anymore LOL im not sure about the result, i actually finished this yesterday evening but it looked so awful to me that i decided to just sleep and check it out again today, and in fact after that it didnt look nearly as terrible (i guess it was just all the piled up frustration making me see things worse than they actually were), but im still not 100% convinced. well, what can i say, at least i can tell the song fits the pairing 100% so this already makes me happy and the scene selection makes me wanna cry because it goes from all happy to angst and pain and ahhh i love them so much
this is my entry for the 2018 SaruMi fest, which is a week when fans of this pairing gather and post their works on tumblr. i did a video last year too, which was SAD as well, i wonder if ill ever edit something happier with them one day? haha
but i was glad to edit this video because first of all i heard this song for the first time one year ago or more, and IMMEDIATELY thought about SaruMi, it fits so much its not even funny. so i started a project (which for me means: drag the song into SV, cut it and then just do the video in my head without actually editing anything) and never continued it in the end. i thought this was a good occasion to finish one of my 838432890 unfinished edits, i was undecided between this and another one and this was the final choice. i still wanna do the other one too though LOL and the fact that i edited with these two for the first time in July since the year started kinda weirded me out, since you know, if we could sum up everything thats on this channel probably a good 10-15% would be just them :/ but im sure there will be many more new edits in the future, considering a movie focused on their first encounter and their relationship throughout the years is coming out in october and im SO EXCITED. i never would have thought in my life that id see the day when the manga would be animated :)

i hate writing descriptions everytime because i never know what to say really, now more than ever lol anyway! im back from the dead, i guess? i dont really wanna talk about it here where everyone will have to read, but in short ive basically had kind of a difficult period in my life due to some circumstances, and ive been avoiding any kind of contact with editing/the community for almost two months if im not mistaken? is this a good way to cope with stuff? probably not, certainly not in fact, but it seems like i cant help it. i didnt even watch anything from my subscriptions, i have a lot to catch up on lol FINALLY three days ago i decided to log into my facebook account after all this time, of course i had quite a lot of notifications and unanswered messages but tbh i havent even opened any of them yet. i guess i should do that asap, but i truly apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. honestly, i dont think this description is the place to say all this stuff, but i didnt want to upload something and pretend everything was fine, you know
ive seriously considered quitting editing in the past months, once again (since this sort of crisis had happened already in october/november 2017), and ive come to the conclusion that quitting to me has no meaning. what im trying to say is: whats the point in saying from this day onwards, ill never edit again? does it really have to be all or nothing? what if six months after i decided to quit i suddenly had the urge to edit something, would i not do it just because i quit? so what i think would be best is: ill probably leave ALL of the studios im in. honestly i havent 100% decided yet, but i feel like my motivation/inspiration to edit is too inconsistent, it can come and go in the blink of an eye and this is why i cant really handle the commitment that editing mep parts on a regular basis requires. im not gonna lie, it would be quite painful for me and i have the feeling id regret it, but the way things are now is not good for me and for mep hosts either, so as i said this is the only solution i can think of. once i reach a final decision of course ill contact whom it may concern and let them know.
i feel like i still have so much more to say, but i dont want to make this description too long. i also wanna talk about the video after all lol
so, i knew i wanted to edit this song with Persona 5 since i finished playing the game, which was in july last year, but as usual i never even started the project. i mean, that ill steal your heart line alone made me immediately think of P5, then if you add the fact that the protagonists ability of using multiple personas is even called wildcard... i just had to do it haha since the anime started airing a month ago, i was SUPER HAPPY and found some motivation to try and edit something (as i said before, ive been in a terrible editing slump for a while now). i started the video when episode 2 aired, so about two weeks ago, and finished it only today because after starting out really fast (i edited the first half, intro aside, in two days) my motivation to finish died out, as it always happens. so i left the project untouched for about 10 days and came back to it only recently. there were some effects that took FOREVER, for example the mask appearing with the particles at 00:23 and the whole background thing right after it (inspired to Casino Royale), but i like how they turned out. the background especially took so long that i just HAD TO use it in the intro as well, im sorry XD ive edited this style before, which is obviously inspired to the game itself and its design, so at first i wanted to do something else but i couldnt imagine this character with this song in any other way so i ended up going for it regardless. i think i managed to do something different from last time though, so im glad :D
let me just say once again how hyped i am about this anime cause i really am o m g
ONE LAST THING: i kinda wanna make a short video like this one for each of the main characters, because i love this game way too much :/ so i thought it could be a nice idea to let people vote to decide who the next video will be about! and possibly suggest some songs. lets be honest, i probably wont be able to do this, but im very willing to give it a try. so if youd like to vote, you can do so here:

...here we go again with another edit that was not supposed to be uploaded
in short, i had been listening to this song a lot during the past couple of days, after an old addiction that i thought i had healed from, and i thought: man, id really love seeing an edit to this with some characters i like. so i looked, and there was none. i decided i could try to do something quick myself, and this is the result, after about 4 hours of editing late at night yesterday and a bit of fixing this afternoon. as i said, i did this without the intention of uploading it and this is probably why i managed to finish it fast, compared to my usual standard which when it comes to anything other than raw is EXTREMELY slow. in the end im uploading it because more bishies are always welcome after all ;)
other than that, in exactly a week, on june 24th, its gonna be my four years of editing anniversary. ive been thinking for weeks that i should do something special for it, but when i try to PLAN edits i end up never finishing them haha so starting anything now would probably be a lost cause. this is why i think im just going to post a mep collection on that day, since i have quite some parts that have been piling up since the beginning of the year and that i really should get rid of.
