hololive IDOL PROJECT original song, incoming very large description. Oh my lord….. where do I even begin with this. First off this song is unlocked via the main story quest, and yes it’s the killer main theme of this game, that scares people off as one of THE tier 29 songs. When I first played this song during the main story quest, man was it a train wreck….. I got totally destroyed on my sightread, as I wasn’t expecting some of the nastiest of nasty material, that being chart highway SLOW DOWN’s…. 🤮 Yes slow downs are some of the absolute worst charting to encounter in these gacha rhythm games, as I’ve had plenty of experience with that for Bandori, Sekai, AND D4DJ.
Onto the FC: when it came to first attempting to FC this song at all, it took a grind naturally, to which I ended up with a -1 off AP, and I was very content with that for sure. Then seeing how I was that close, well I pushed myself further to go for that AP, just because it was definitely within my capabilities, to which thus comes the painful story of that grind. Going for this song’s AP was a total nightmare, in which it took probably over a day to finally end the curse for once. I had constant -1 off AP’s all over the chart, besides full-on choking the song altogether in the last chorus of the end. It was mentally and physically draining like that, to which I was losing motivation that badly, but well something in my mind had me keep going just being that determined, to which this run finally came about, I finally locked in after getting the patterns down method wise as consistently as I can, and doing my best to contain my nerves come the last chorus.
This song has so many hard parts to which I’ll just list them off here:
1:07 the hard stuff starts here, first time I’ve seen tight zigging sliders to easily miss on for this game
1:19 one of the major hard parts, this out of nowhere blob blast spam is what caused my -1 off AP first time FC run. At the end of the section, the song transitions into its first nasty slow down to have to react to quickly
1:33 this fill coming out of stubborn short sustain w/flicks (yes these flicks suck badly) is so freakin awkward to transition into, and is crazy tight with its hit window, I kept getting screwed over with “Greats” alone
1:43 the next nasty sudden slow down, this being the absolute worst of the song. The hardest part is timing the very ending note @ 1:52, which is very annoying to time and hit consistently, and then immediately transitioning back into full speed
1:58 this is a pretty fast spam roll, and easy to choke on if you’re going too slow
The rest of the song is literal choke hell, as I both missed and landed greats all over from here on to the end, especially the final hard spam sweep @ 2:41, which I had a few major AP chokes on, which were heartbreaking like that.
I’m just glad to have this harder tiered song done of all the hardest tiered songs in the game right now.
