Shiori Novella’s original song, this song has to be unlocked via Shiori’s HoloMem quest. This was the last song for me to have to FC of all the “Free”/“Given” songs on the game from the 150 song start on launch day, and oh my god……. To think that I would finally take down this beast as my final boss like that lol……. The first time I played this via Shiori’s quest, this song literally destroyed me on sightread, I got -5 off FC but was close to failing as I also landed many “Good’s”/“Bad’s” that run. Then came the working progress to see if I could get anywhere near an FC, to which well I made more progress, that was being able to FC all the way up to the end. This song is pretty exhausting, being a stamina based blast heavy song, funny thing is this song is “Metal” based due to the instrumental work. Anyways, it then became a matter of figuring out how to hit the ending fill, which is so annoying to hit period. On the day I did FC this, well as usual with the high tiered songs, yes I put in a grind for this, to which thankfully I had the stamina to survive the battle. Little did I expect that not only would I FC this, but getting an AP on top of it too….. HOLY HELL!!!!!
This song has MANY hard parts to get though, and being consistent at these sections is a killer:
0:57 - The hard parts start here when the instrumental kicks in, the quick and tight gallop triplets going both directions, and are somewhat awkward to hit
1:16 - A very fast spam roll blast that comes out of nowhere, can be very annoying to get past this roll consistently at all
1:20 - This pattern is awkward and comes back at the end to kill your FC
1:34 - A very annoying and awkward fill to transition into, the flicks here are super stubborn and the best way to hit them is to flick laterally
1:43 - I expected “a” song on this game to follow charting that you see on killer hard songs for D4DJ in which you see a sustain suddenly turn into a quick note teleportation transition like that, and again this can be very annoying to get used to like that and kill your FC easily. The flicks here also suck being on the left hand, which is my weakness here. This section from here on outward is where most of your stamina will be eaten up
1:53 - The sharp fast slides here thank god can be hit via handoff transitions and not having to cross your hands quickly, but this section is so chokeable alone
2:00 - A line of fast flicks to have to scrub, switching sides. The fast tap pattern at the end is the hard part in this section due to the flicks that are placed
2:24 - The HARDEST part of the whole chart imo. this ending fill SUCKS!!!! I basically had to brute force a method of making my right hand hit two notes for both directions of the pattern and having to quickly force scrub those horribly spaced double flicks, to which you see I almost closed the app for over reaching on my scrubbing the screen…. My god if I choked this run closing the app unintentionally like that
I’m very glad to have FC’d all the given songs on the game up to date. I now only have all the shop based songs left to play and go for FC’s for, and well the real killers that remain (so far) are pretty much going to be *Six Trillion Years and Overnight Story* and *King World*
