Protestors again crowded in and outside Ypsilanti City Hall on Tuesday, Oct. 15, calling for more shelter and less police. The crowd were chanting, and banging on drums and windows during the City Council meeting. City leaders came close to ending the six and a half hour meeting multiple times. The outrage came over a resolution – which was ultimately tabled indefinitely in a unanimous vote – directing the city manager to address “significant” safety concerns downtown with “all appropriate resources,” including police.
