Howdy folks!
Feels like Spring is finally here... there were times when we thought this blasted cold was never going to end. So to celebrate, how about a suitably upbeat, chipper song from the utter genius that is Randy Newman (who we now can't think of without seeing that scene from an early series of Family Guy).
I suppose you would call 'You've Got A Friend In Me' the title track from Pixar's Toy Story, although I don't really feel like the film has a theme tune, which is quite an achievement when you think about it.
We've taken what we hope are the vital elements of the song and crammed them into an acoustic uke cover with a little electric guitar dancing around where the fiddles would normally be. Have a gander and see if you're into it, why don'tcha?
At the risk of appering cynical, we'd like to dedicate this one to Tom Hanks and his lady wife who are still holed up in Australia battling the COVID-19 Coronavirus. It seems the virus went straight for our most treasured possesion... we love you Tom! Thanks so much for all the times you've made us laugh and cry... and get well soon! xxx
Oh, also, any film where toys talk makes us cry like babies.
