YouTube is a online video sharing and social media platform owned by Google. Youtube has somewhat become a future, the platform that raises real-life influencers and some valuable content. As a matter of fact, the young have already shifted their focus towards an online platform like Youtube and other social media sites as they are all interrelated.
The very first Youtuber was none other than Jawed Karim, who was also the founder of YouTube. "Me at the Zoo" was the first video uploaded to YouTube at 8:31 PM on April 23, 2005, by Jawed Karim, under the username "jawed".
Speaking of Youtube's success, it was September 2005, when YouTube received the first video with more than one million views. The video is a Nike advertisement that went viral on the Internet. This is a clip of Brazilian football player Ronaldinho receiving a pair of golden boots.

Carrying on with the history of youtube, in the year 2005 on 14th February, Youtube was created by three former employees of American e-commerce company PayPal, Steve Chen, Chad Hurley and Jawed Karim. The company's headquarters were located in San Bruno, California.
However, soon after the site opened on a limited "beta" basis in May 2005, it legitimately interested approximately 30,000 visitors per day. As a result, by the time YouTube was officially launched on December 15, 2005, it had more than 2 million video views per day. Whereas, nearly by January 2006, this number had increased to more than 25 million views.
While, in March 2006, the website provided more than 25 million videos, and more than 20,000 new videos were uploaded every day. And hence, by the summer of 2006, YouTube had provided more than 100 million videos every day, and the number of videos uploaded to the site showed no signs of slowing down. Sounds exciting right? I know!
To no surprise, the huge increase in YouTube traffic has also brought a series of problems. The company has to continue to buy more computer equipment and more broadband Internet connections.
Besides, YouTube was forced to allocate more financial resources for potential litigation, as many media companies discovered that some of the videos uploaded to YouTube contained copyrighted material.
However, there occurred a minor problem, as due to limited success in commercializing its website or controlling its growing costs, YouTube started looking for buyers.
Whereas, in 2005, the American search engine company Google Inc. launched the video service Google Video but failed to produce a large number of traffic, which assisted Google to acquire YouTube for $1.65 billion in stocks in November 2006.
Rather than merging the sites, however, Google continued to operate YouTube as before. However, in order to lessen the danger of copyright infringement lawsuits, Google arranged agreements with a good amount of entertainment companies to concede copyrighted video elements to appear on YouTube and confer YouTube users the right to hold certain copyrighted songs in their videos.
It also agreed to delete tens of thousands of copyrighted video files from YouTube. In November 2008, Google and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Inc. (MGM) reached an agreement to broadcast some of the studio’s complete movies and TV shows. The radio can be watched for free and advertisements will be shown next to the show.
