History Of The Company Apple
Apple, headquartered in Cupertino, California, is one of the most valuable companies in the world, who is globally recognized for manufacturing popular digital devices including Mac, iPod, iPhone and iPad.
Just like how every company started off something, Apple was founded in 1976 by two young geniuses, Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak. Whereas, the company's major and second product, Apple II, was the first personal computer to succeed in the mass market.
Did you know that Apple started off its brand credibility with a laptop? Well, now you do. The Macintosh, released in 1984, brought modern graphical user interfaces into the mainstream, and the market indeed, boomed already.
However, as a matter of fact, the company faced its downfall in 1985, when the board members decided to kick out Steve Jobs from the business. Of course, they didn't know, they are taking the scariest and worst decision of their life, hence later that year, the board members got the taste of their own medicine.
Apple was almost on the stage of bankruptcy when the same directors decided to bring back Jobs with due respect this time. As a result, Jobs was brought back to the company. Apple was now Jobs Den, he was the leader now, hence he did everything that could benefit the company as a whole, without being hesitant of the fact that the company didn't repay his efforts. Then Jobs led an amazing resurgence, launching the iPod in 2001, the iPhone in 2007, and the iPad in 2010. It was a massive decade for the company as Apple made nearly $40 billion in profits in the 2014 fiscal year.
Unfortunately, Steve Jobs could not be part of other major successes of the company, as he died of pancreatic cancer in 2011. Since then, the company has been led by Jobs' longtime associate Tim Cook.
To no surprise, for the past four years, Apple has been the trend leader in Silicon Valley. Apple II, Macintosh, iPod, iPhone and iPad have all been widely imitated by Apple's competitors-if not completely copied.
