The Youtube Live Stream API kind of sucks, but we can still use it to build some cool things.

Some twitch channels have these impressive setups where the live stream chat can interact with physical objects on the stream in real time and I wanted to see if I could achieve similar with the Youtube API directly on an arduino, and while it's never going to be as good as twitch for reasons explained in the video, I wrote a library for it that can be used to build some interesting things. In this video I show you some of the methods and tricks I used to make the library actually usable, including presumably straight up abusing the API terms of service!

I have set up a Github Sponsorship page, it's similar style thing to patreon. Github sponsorships help support videos like these plus the open source projects I create.

Some people have said they would prefer a once off way of supporting the channel, here is a Paypal link if you would prefer that!
