This documentary was originally intended to be about his transition from a painter to a makeup artist, but it morphed its way into a piece about dealing with adversity and acceptance. As the filmmaker, what I got from this piece was that being gay, whether one is born as or one chooses to be, should not be compared to a crippling condition. Rather, it is not a 'condition'. One's sexuality is an essential part of someone's identity and one should not be judged because of it.
