My first ever revisit of a non-chiptune song I made before making chiptunes in February 2016. This song was originally made in an iPad app called "Medly Music Maker" some time in 2016. In early 2017, I ported the song over to the Game Boy using DefleMask. These versions of the song are in my channel, though they are unlisted, but they will be linked at the end of this description. I decided to revisit this song in Furnace by completely transforming the feel of the song with my current style. In my original version of Your Idea Glows Bright, I actually used melodies taken from my other songs at the time I originally made it, so I focused more on the unique melodies for this revisit.
What is the Phoenix Sound System 1? This is a fictional audio system I devised in 2018 with the name of "Wavetable Guy Arcade System Board," using a combination of the HuC6280 and SegaPCM with two instances of DefleMask and VGMMerge to hear the result. As most of you know, I revisited this setup earlier this year in Furnace, and it allows you to combine different audio chips to create some fantasy audio system of a gaming console/computer of your own. In a recent update of a development build, the creator of Furnace added a "Generic PCM DAC" system that can be configured to have an output rate between 1000 and 65536Hz and bit depth between 1-bit and 16-bit. With that in mind, I finalized this audio setup as follows: 6 wavetable channels with the last channel capable of producing noise (enabling noise disables wavetable output) and 4 PCM channels with an output rate of 22050Hz at an output bit depth of 16-bit.
