Yes, I created a song based around a product known for its advertisement that I can recall first seeing around 2006 (when I was 9 years old). HeadOn was a topical product that supposedly was to help with migraines and headaches, but the company that created it wasn't allowed to make such claims. Thus, they decided to repeat the line "HeadOn, apply directly to the forehead" multiple times. This gave it a reputation of one of the most annoying commercials that aired on TV. You won't find this product in stores (specifically Walgreens, as the advertisement mentioned) anymore. While many folks consider the advertisement to be annoying, I do find it somewhat nostalgic. Maybe just watching the commercial on YouTube brings me back to the days when I was a kid. How fast time flies by...
The Yamaha YMZ280B (PCMD8) is a curious 8-channel PCM chip. Having around 16MB of RAM, it appears to have first been used around 1996 in an arcade system. This chip has full stereo panning capabilities and supports 4-bit ADPCM, 8-bit PCM, and 16-bit PCM samples . It's definitely a lot more capable than the Ricoh RF5C68/164 (which also has 8 PCM channels, but only 64kb of RAM). Unfortunately, when this chip was out, it was mostly used to just play streamed audio. I guess it does mean more space for SFX, but I am reminded of an old addage that goes something like: "Just because you can do it doesn't mean you should."

The background image was drawn by yours truly, featuring a hatless version of my elfsona giving his honest thought about the HeadOn product.
