Raccoons are playful creatures. The babies play constantly, and even at 8 or 9 months old young raccoons like to scuffle and wrestle and mess with each other.

This video shows two siblings fooling around down by a busy water bowl. They're eventually joined by mama and the rest of the family, and you'll see lots of nibbling and other expressions of "it's so good to see you!". Raccoon families stay together way beyond the stage at which the young need their mamas. They just seem to really like one another.
