I love the lighter side of the Zelda universe, as well as the darker one. I wanted to write something that conveyed the optimism of youth, and the joy of the world the heroes are fighting to protect.
This particular piece was built around the pizzicato strings, and all the instruments except the bongo is in the Hyrule Field and Termina Field audiobanks (probably some others too). But I couldn’t resist adding in a playful percussion line.
I mostly imagined this as cutscene music when I was writing it, but it could be a certain character’s theme, or even location music for somewhere that would fit.
