On February 27, 2026, MCSO deputies responded to a reported theft at a construction site in the 21600 block of W Highway 40 in Dunnellon. As you can see in the surveillance footage, they discovered that Alfio Nocifora had a crappy plan to steal a septic tank on February 22 with his 2013 Toyota Corolla.
Well, after a lot of straining with little movement, his plan went completely down the drain when a Jeep Cherokee arrived at the scene. Nocifora got the sudden urge to… run 🏃♂️💨, but he wasn’t quite finished.
Although Nocifora realized that his initial plan to own a septic tank was wiped out, he moved on to plan #2. The next day, he returned with a rented U-Haul truck. With great effort, he was able to load the septic tank, along with around $2,500 worth of electrical pipe. Nocifora had also covered the license plate and U-Haul identification number on the vehicle with tape.
Well, it all caught up with Nocifora, and Detective Zezuski was able to identify him and obtain a warrant for his arrest. He was located in Citrus County and placed under arrest. Now he is in deep doo-doo 💩 and being charged with Grand Theft, Unlawful Use of a Two-Way Device, and Intentionally Obscuring a License Plate During the Commission of a Crime.
