On Saturday, November 24, 2018, Deputy Silas Caruthers responded to 7000 NW Gainesville Road in reference to a domestic battery. The investigation revealed that the defendant, Quintine Austin (DOB:07/04/1983), arrived at the victim's residence, and he and the victim became involved in an argument. Austin then struck the victim with a mop handle and kicked her in the head several times. She was transported to the hospital, where it was determined that she was suffering from a possible skull fracture. The defendant left the scene but was soon located by K-9 Deputy Tim Fretts and his K-9 "Robo," and Austin was taken into custody without incident.
