From the Jazz Repertory Company’s EFG London Jazz Festival concert 1956: A Jazz Jubilee. Iain Mackenzie sings the opening track from Frank Sinatra’s Songs for Swinging Lovers. The first ever album to hold the no.1 spot in the recently launched UK album charts of 1956. The album’s arrangements are some of Nelson Riddle’s finest work and here the music is performed by Pete Long’s Orchestra featuring such luminaries as Chris Dean on trombone and Mark Crooks on reeds.
