What do you get when you put a NASA project investigator together with a Young Southeast Asia Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) alumna?
A barrel of laughs might be the last thing you expect, but watch for yourself as Dr. Kim Binsted and Regina Ng engage in a serious battle of... puns!
Dr. Binsted, a professor and the lead investigator for the NASA-funded HI-SEAS (Hawaii Space Exploration Analog and Simulation) project, wrote the very first version of a "joking computer" program as part of her PhD thesis. Regina Ng participated in the YSEALI Civic Engagement Academic Fellowship in Nebraska in 2015. They share a background and passion for improvised comedy during their university days, and they’ve still got what it takes to bring on the laughs now.
Prepare yourself for some STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math)-related puns that are out of this world!
