X2 stages are too short, LOL
----
But for real though, Mega Man X2's arsenal will always be super slept on because of the charge shot being broken. The fact that blazing through stages with even the minimal amount of special weapons (in this video, I only have four weapons so far) is common is both ridiculous - as well as exposes how short most of these stages truly are - and telling of how this is hands down the fastest X. When the arsenal's mastered, you're basically speedrunning without even intending to. He's just that mobile.
His arsenal might not be the "strongest" in terms of raw damage like X1 and X4, but it certainly beats them both in the utility department. That's why I feel special weapon sets need to stop being judged based solely on their damage or if they can replace your buster, which no weapon is supposed to do.
This video doesn't even come CLOSE to showing just how much charged Speed Burner absolutely trivializes most stages. An air dash that turns you into a speeding, semi-invincible hitbox, and pretty much functions as a double air dash? Given this is a water stage, it's a no-brainer on why that couldn't be shown in this quickie, but more clips are sure to come soon. This near-60 second clip just cannot capture every facet of these weapons.
