Cora!!!
The epitome of evil - but she still managed to get her redemption in a way - she had been heartless all the time so no wonder she was callous.
I really hated Cora verything about her but at the same time I admire her inability to love and I was in awe at the fact she had never shown mercy for anyone, not even for her own flesh and blood.
The video is supposed to be a character study. I've tried to show all her traits, and as the editing progressed, the more traits started coming up, but one thing is sure - Cora was craving for absolute power. Her agenda had been to become the dark one all along and she wouldn't hesitate to kill her only love just to get it, and oh the irony! He told her never to give up..
So the intro shows Cora at her most deceptive and lying. Help Snow really?? :))
Ambition - she wants her daughter to be queen. Now there is the story yet to be told, like when Ava joined the court and there in fact might lie the answer to the question why Cora hated Ava so much that she wanted her death. I understand all the humiliation and all the horror of that pompous ass king's actions, but wanting her dead for that... I bet there is more to the story.
Ok the pompous ass king - I wish she had ripped out his heart. He told her love was weakness and only years and many crushed hearts later did she learn from Emma that love was strength. Regina was certainly the victim in the "love is weakness" business.
I'd hate the king even more than Ava. She was just a spoiled brat and exactly the stupid foolish girl who did not know better.
Love or power - clearly for Cora there was no doubt. Nothing could stop her from getting power (well she had to learn the hard way) so she simply ripped her heart out (which later even proved to be a good thing for her when Hook tried to steal it :O ).
In the end Cora won. She kept her promise she had given Ava - she would turn Snow's heart black as coal - even if she had to die but there is no way back from murder (just as from death, Rumpel :)) ) and Snow will go dark, wherever it takes her.
A bit sarcastic but oh so mild at the same time, Cora's words cut mercilessly. Manipulative, loved the scenes with Thornrose.
One may be able to understand her speech in the stable a little better now that we know what she had gone through, but the bitch just shouldn't have killed Daniel. What gives her the right to make such a drastic decision?? Not everybody is the same and at this point I admire Regina for wanting to give it all up and live with her true love happily ever after in a cottage in rags. Cora might have wanted the best for her, but the best was not what she had thought would be for Regina. She clearly destroyed her daughter's life, I'd say.. :P "No, it's MINE!" Well she did try to "help" Regina get Henry back and there goes her art of persuasion and manipulation in full glory. She totally manipulated Regina all the time and I did not think for a second she was sincere. Sadly now we know why, she had no heart..
Before she had ripped out her heart, she was such a proud girl, look at her when she says her name. She was also smart for asking Rumpel to teach her, instead of just letting him weave the gold for her. She disappointed Rumpel so much that he'd hoped she was dead! They loved each other but what about true love? Maybe Cora did not have hers, but one thing is sure. He was kind of powerless when she turned up in his shop.
Anyway it was high time she paid for all the things she had done, and alas! Snow was the one! And Regina, unknowingly...! She was heartless for a long long time but seeing her smile when she realized she loved Regina was really something wonderful to see and even if the villain is as black as coal, it is a great feeling to know there is something positive about them no matter how tiny it is.
