Hi Everyone,
My personal take on why a jointer might be one of the last tools you actually need in a small woodworking shop. While jointers are useful, they’re also expensive and take up a lot of space—and with a few simple jigs, you can accomplish most of what a jointer does.
Instead of investing in a jointer, I recommend putting that money toward the best table saw you can afford. In my experience, a high-quality table saw is far more versatile and essential for most woodworking tasks.
