When confronted with the fact that they can't see God, Christians often point out that we also can't see the wind - yet we still believe it's there because we see its effects. In the same way, they argue, they believe in God because they can see the effects of God.
But does this comparison make any sense at all? Clearly not. And if anything, this analogy just demonstrates differences between the scientific approach to natural phenomena and the religious approach to claimed supernatural phenomena.
