IBM Research is proud to host professor Yoshua Bengio — one of the world’s leading experts in AI — in a discussion of how AI can contribute to the fight against COVID-19.

Professor at the Université de Montréal since 1993, Bengio is also the founder and scientific director of Mila–Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute, the world’s largest university-based research group in deep learning. In this video, he describes two of many projects started at Mila to to contribute to the fight against COVID-19. The first involves searching for antiviral drugs and the second is about predicting contagiousness risk based on data acquired on phones.
