IBM previews the upcoming IBM Telum Processor, designed to bring deep learning inference to enterprise workloads to help clients address fraud in real-time. Telum contains on-chip acceleration for AI to support inferencing with the life of an enterprise transaction. Three years in development, this chip is designed to help customers achieve business insights at scale across banking, finance, trading, insurance applications and other customer interactions. A Telum-based IBM Z system is planned for the first half of 2022.
