In this video, we take a ride aboard York Region Transit Route 20 Jane, starting at Vaughn Metropolitan Centre (VMC) and ending at Pioneer Village Station. Route 20 Jane runs from Pioneer Village Station in North York, to Mosque Gate & Teston Road in Vaughn. This route runs 7 days a week, most of the day, and uses both 40’ and 60’ buses.
2002 is a 2020 New Flyer Xcelsior XD60 and is part of a 28 unit order (2001-2028). These are the first brand new bought Articulated buses for York Region Transit, and the first New Flyer Articulated buses in the fleet. These units are powered by a Cummins 8.9L 330HP Clean Diesel Engine (L9) and a Voith DIWA-864.6 4 Speed Automatic transmission (Voith D864.6) These Units run on MAN axles. These buses feature American Seating Insight on the inside, and Manual heating and cooling controlled by the operator for both passengers and the operator.
