I have been super curious about how far I could take the noise patch I made in the last session. Well, I think the name I gave it- "Geiger Noise"- describes it well! It can get really loud really fast if you're not careful!
When recording the patch for the second time, I wanted to compare the duality I found in the patch and accentuate it. On the one hand you can make it sound like a waterfall on a windy day, with ever so subtle ebbs and flows. Adding a chorus of birds using the self-oscillating filter adds the perfect touch for a pristine nature scene I think! On the other hand you get an atom bomb through a radio, accompanied with engine-like drones.
Adding the other parts was a way to tell a story; perhaps nature falls to man's ultimate mistake, or the facade of peace falls away to reveal an unease that has been ever-present all along? Who knows, ultimately it will be up to you to find whatever you find in it. Enjoy the journey!
