In Saint-Hyacinthe, Que., Bloc Québécois Leader Yves-François Blanchet announces the candidacy of Caroline Émond, former Quebec delegate general to the European institutions in Brussels and former executive director of the International Dairy Federation, in the upcoming by-election in the riding of Saint-Hyacinthe–Bagot–Acton, following the departure of outgoing MP Simon-Pierre Savard-Tremblay. Following the announcement, Émond briefly addresses the media. Blanchet and Émond are joined by MPs Andréanne Larouche and Yves Perron.
