Japan is reportedly considering banning a list of popular American cereals and snacks, including Frosted Flakes, Rice Krispies, Honey Bunches of Oats, and Wheat Thins, over concerns tied to a common flavor-enhancing chemical linked to cancer risk. Russell pointed out the irony of a country famous for processed convenience food drawing the line at something American regulators still allow on shelves every day. He urged people to actually check the ingredient label before buying, since if that chemical shows up on the box, it's something an entire country has already decided isn't worth the risk.
