I accidentally stumbled onto a demonstration in Athens, yesterday. It was commemorating the 45th anniversary of the 1973 Athens Polytechnic Uprising, which was a massive student protest against the military dictatorship. An estimated 40 students died during the uprising, and each year protests are held both to honor that uprising, and to fight for political change throughout Greece.
It was a great privilege to document such an immense march, and very cool to see people engaged civically all over the world!
