I’m so enamored with Thailand right now. Today I got to tour Phang Nga and Phuket and it was incredible. I threw in a few drone shots of some of the biggest and most beautiful Buddhist Temples in the area, and then we get into the real meat and potatoes here: I got to bathe with a baby elephant. It was incredible, and this video could have been 45 minutes straight because he was so damn great and one of the best experiences I’ve had so far. I could die happy.

Also, I discuss the issue of “elephant trekking” a bit at the end, and wanted to elaborate more. I made it very clear I wasn’t going to partake in riding them, as it’s provenly bad. Does it mean I need to protest the institution all together? I think not. These animals were hunted and used for grueling work up to very recent times, so progress is progress. It may not be natural or the best life, but it is a massive improvement from how they were treated like 20 years ago.
Lastly, I draw issue with applying first-world viewpoints to third-world developing countries. Again, I celebrate the progress and the direction of a harmonious relationship, and support businesses that abide by the current rules for the safety of animals in their land.
Ok. I bathed a baby elephant. And shoved like 30 bananas in it’s face. Thank you.
